| HR Legislation & Performance Management |

Challenge: As a result of dramatic growth the joint owners, Lee Barnett & Marcus Graziano, realised their HR practices and procedures were lagging behind. They were concerned that paperwork was out of date and wanted to make sure they were compliant with the latest legislation. How we solved it: After an HR health check we set about ensuring all the relevant contracts of employment, policies and procedures were brought up to date in line with current HR guidance and best practice. We then focused our attention on improving the performance management process and suggested Caspian adopted the 360 approach. We worked with the management team to create job descriptions and key performance indicators and then implemented a new appraisal scheme. Consultation and training was provided with all staff, and we continue to work with the team on providing feedback and facilitation. The results: All procedures and documentation are up to date and Lee and Marcus are extremely pleased with the results of the new performance management system. Marcus added “We are delighted with the progress that has been made in the last 12 months. HR Solutions’ contribution to improving performance management has been terrific. Laura and her team have also helped us with a number of absence, disciplinary and capability problems. These have all been dealt with in a calm and professional manner, without any comebacks. This is a testament to the robustness of the procedures we now have in place.” |
